Love this film...

This film was recommended to me on a trip to Hong Kong long ago. I bought the DVD but did not get around to watching it until much later.

I was not expecting much but the film truly struck a chord in me. The relationships between the three main characters seemed so real. I too have been in the same place as Eric. Could I have given up my love so my best friend can be happy? The old saying is true, if you love someone, let them go. True love is about more then our own selfish 'wants' and 'needs'. True love is giving a damn about other people. And sometimes, in the end, watching other people's happiness can be as rewarding as being loved ourselves. It all depends on your perspective. After all, nothing can last forever. In this fleeting life, I would rather leave some happiness behind so when I look down... I can see their smiles in the rain.
