In the second one...

What was the line about how there are things you can't say in a letter? When Jacob goes to see Sarah in Maine...

reply

It was about something that was said early in the film.

Jacob says, "I love you, Sarah. There are some things that can't be written... in a letter. I'm not good with words."

Later in the same conversation Sarah says to him, "You were right - some things can't be written in a letter. You, you said it once; sometimes words aren't good enough...Jacob?"

That part about words not being good enough is what he had said to her earlier in the film when they were talking about the calf. He said something about its face looking like a moonbeam, & she said, "To think, Anna says you're not good with words." He replied, "Sometimes words aren't good enough."

Hope this helps.
