CHUCK CONNORS

I 'm considering buying this DVD only because I 'm a fan of Chuck Connors...can someone who's seen this film tell me if Chuck has a substantial role in it, or is he just in a scene or two ? I 'm so tired of spending money on a film only to discover the actor I want to see is gone in five seconds. I would really appreciate it, thanks !

This is a good film but it is not a major part for Chuck Connors.
If I remember correctly, all his character does is look thru a window
with binoculars.

Thank you very much for responding, ggarrett-4, you 've saved me some cash !
It is so sad for me, to see such once great stars in their older years settle for demeaning roles that don't do them justice. It 's even sadder, that people under the age of 40 don't even know who they were.
Thanks again.

It's a minor role for Connors but it is in no way demeaning. His character is one of a small ensemble and each of them has an important function.

Thanks, Poppy, I have since seen the film, and you are absolutely right. Gosh, I can't believe it's been 4 years since I made this inquiry ! Time sure goes by fast the older you get...

That's good to hear. He was good in his bit part as were all the other bit players. I think Adlon's quite careful with who he chooses, as his minor characters matter.

Absolutely!

Hi Again, Poppy !

Also, since my original inquiry, i have met both Chuck's real life son Jeff Connors, AND his TV son Johnny Crawford ! They were both at a Western Festival that I attend every year, in Memphis..and they are both very, very nice. Jeff brought his father's rifle, the one on "THE RIFLEMAN" and I have my picture taken with it, as well as with Jeff and Johnny...what an exciting event that was ! It's coming up again, in June, and Johnny wil be singing for us with his orchestra! If you're interested in reading about this event, you can go to the website, " www.memphisfilmfestival.com "
