Odd Movie With An Equally Odd Title

I caught it once several years ago on the CBC TV Late Show one night. Lang's performance was unforgettable, especially the scene where she pops out buck naked in front of the librarian and, holding a sign, loudly states, "I am Russian!"

I changed the channel after that and was left wondering what the Salmonberries title was referring to.
