I didn't really see the film when it came out nor when it was aired many times on preimum cable like HBO. It's just one of those films where as the Nostalgia Critic pointed out that sometimes a family animated film (espeically when it's based on your comedic persona) should put alot of thought to it or just stick it as a bad idea. Harold Ramis should've been more assertive to Rodney to not make the project altogether because R-rated comedians and G-rated family films (most of the time) DO NOT mix.

As for the review, Doug has done it again, I love the Duck Hunt dog bit along with the Jeopardy! bit, audience reaction to the dead turkey bit (although I was expecting the "I WAS FROZEN TODAY!" line), and the That's All Folks! bit after failed potential deaths of "Rover". Although not as good as the Little Monsters review, it's still pretty awesome.

MOVIE REVIEW: N/A out of 10 (Haven't seen it and I don't think I want to)
NC REVIEW: 9 out of 10 (Awesome use of Duck Hunt, Looney Tunes, and Jeopardy! references. The dead turkey bit was great too.)

I saw this film as a kid and it wasn't completely horrible. The animation was good and the Rover character had enough charm to carry the film in my opinion. It's not GOOD, that's for sure but it doesn't deserved to be dragged through the wringer.

I think NC only has to review the animated Return To Oz movie and he'll have reviewed every animated film Cartoon Network's Cartoon Theatre slot ever showed.

Rover Dangerfield(1991) is edgy for a family movie. There's sexy showgirls and a dark scene where a turkey is killed by wolves and Rover is blamed for it.
