I think he would make for a great Rocketeer. Can carry a film with charm but also has his own quirky-"ness".
Also this needs to be set in the same time period as the original one if they go the reboot route.

Nah. He's too busy throwing every last scrap of his credibility going on holiday with Taylor bloody Swift.
And, please, don't let him go anywhere near Bond. For the love of everything that is holy...
Not a good enough reason when it comes to acting credibility.
Plus it's Taylor Swift, that will last for about a month or two. Who cares.
The Swift thing was embarrassing, but I think he's starting to regain his credibility. Lol. He's a solid actor.
Anyhow, although he wouldn't be my first pick, I do see him pulling off a role like this. If the supposed reboot goes anywhere though, things are going to be quite different. It might suck or be surprisingly good.
