In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream

oh the irony, the best F/X of this movie is the LACK of sound in space. That alone puts it in top 10 accurate SF movies of all times.

But that explosion looked inaccurate, looked a bit much 4 somewhere theres no oxygen.

The movie may have been utter crap, but I will agree with you there. It's only shining moment.

reply

They probably did it that way so they wouldn't have to spend money on sound editing.

Akira has a cool silence-in-space scene.

This movie tries very hard but doesn't really get to overcome its silly concept with all the smart little things, silence in space, buttpatting and others...all very nice though. The cinematography, especially the tight framing, often cheapens Robot Jox. But I guess they did the best they could on their budget.

Actually for the time, it seems to be a very ambitious film! I have to give them high marks. At least they had the balls to shoot for something different, even if their budget didn't quite fit their dream.

Not that a budget makes a difference. 20 years later and millions of dollars and transformers is garbage. I'll take Robot Jox over that sad movie and it's sequel any time.
