This movie was great. I saw it when I was in grade 6, which is probably a little after it came out and I saw it recently. Wow how your imagination when your younger fills in holes.
I guess they did what they could, with what they had. pretty dated movie but... very cool story.
No one seems to notice that Alexander yells Courva, or however you want to spell it. Kourrva!!!
I remember he yells it when he is in his mech, shooting down while Akileze (sp.) is moving towards him on the ground and when they are in court and Akileze reveals his inner eye socket with the middle finger.
Alex runs across the room to fight with a COURVA!.
I love it
For those who dont know that word is used in context as the F word in english but its actual literal meaning is Prostitiute. (not a good kind of prostitute, a dirty one)

That's very interesting to know.

Gotta give it up for this movie. It was made for a fairly love budget, and has a pretty ambitious script. Not just the big robot battles, but also the idea of world building some kind of a future. It was made for, I think, 7 million? So not a lot of money. Less than James Camereon's Aliens was made for several years before it.
