When I watched this movie on youtube I...

1) Wished I was 10 again so I could pretend I was alexander (with the cheesy accent)

2) Laughed really hard at the prank call

3) Was impressed that the movie's special effects hold up decently

4) Laughed and rejoiced at how great this movie was.

After the movie, I came to imdb to see what people said. I am pretty picky about movies, but for some reason this one charmed the hell out of me. I wish everyone saw this when they were 10, and then again now.

Sure, dialogue was less than stellar, but I see much cheesier on CSI, which probably has a bigger budget than this movie. C'mon guys, it wasn't THAT bad!!

I saw this movie when I was 10 as well. It's amazing how easy it is for a 10 year to like bad movies. This movie doesn't hold up but still has a piece of my childhood so I can't bag on it that much.

I was 9 when I saw this movie, and I'd only seen it then, but i remember it vividly to this day. I love that movie!!!!

Its funny I watched this movie when I was 10 years old, I havent seen it since and I still get flashbacks about this movie when I see big robots in a movie. Took me a while to figure out the title when I did all the details came back weird

I agree makaveddie. This one charmed the hell of me too.

I saw this movie when I was 11. It's amazing how some movies just capture your imagination and you remember them.

Back in those days, I must have watched this and "The Wraith" 100 times each. That was another cheesy action flick, came out in 1986. But they were both just really cool sci-fi action films to a kid in those times.

For some reason, I'm the opposite. I watched this when I was around 10 and thought it was cheesy and boring. There's a lot of adult humor in the movie that I didn't understand back then.

Now I watched it again recently and think it's cheesy and freaking awesome! I actually think it's one of my favorite B- movies of all time aside from the likes of Trancers, Frankenhooker, Re-Animator...

Dude, are you feeling all right?

You're right. It wasn't that bad.

IT WAS WORSE!

No. It's a glorious late 80s, early 90s action flick.

They don't make em like this anymore.

When i first saw the TV ad, I thought it was Van Damme in it. Itwas also called Robojox when first advertised. So as I patiently awaited for my local video store to get it in, I waited and waited some more. I was so thrown off by the new title "Robot Jox", thinking it was a ripoff direct-to-video flick. But then i learned they had to do the title change and that it wasn't Van Damme in it. so i finally got to watch it.

I was not completely unimpressed. I would put it in my library alongside the likes of Rollerball (original) and Death Race 2000 as those had similar themes.

You people are my heroes talking about how old you all were when you saw it. I was only about 4-6 years old so while a little behind you all, I still feel the same warm feelings about this movie, even if I was only old enough to enjoy the action sequences and nothing else.

Good to know I'm not the only one who loves this now dates but still loved-in-our-hearts movie. And yes, I was too impressed with how the special effects held up in time. In a way, they mean more since you couldn't just CGI everything like today.
