First attempt to make Denzel a star

It didn't work at the time but Denzel sure as hell proved everyone wrong as we see today

Yep, these were his Ricochet-Virtuosity-Mighty Quinn-Mo Better Blues days.

After failing to stick as a lead actor carrying a movie, even after having won the best supporting actor for Glory, he then fell back to playing more of a supporting role, but in much better movies: Much Ado About Nothing, Philadelphia, Pelican Brief...he then returned to lead status in several other movies in the mid-late 90s that again, didn't really light it on fire: Preacher's Wife, He Got Game, Courage under Fire, Devil in a Blue Dress, the Siege, the Bone Collector.

And then around 1999-2000, he really took off to superstardom.

Suffice to say, there aren't many other career arcs in Hollywood that led to the A-List such as Denzel's.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?
