Most insane, underrated, over the top, competently made movie ever?

1984's The Bounty has that beat by a long shot. Beautifully crafted and so compelling, starring Mel Gibson, Anthony Hopkins, Liam Neeson, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Laurence Olivier, but hardly anyone outside of die hard fans of the cast has seen it.

Definitely! I was only 2yrs old when it was released but caught it on HBO or something when I was 12 and it disturbed me enough to stick in my mind for years. I bought the Dvd recently and am still impressed with it. Yet nobody Ive spoken to (no matter their age) know what I'm talking about! They look at me like I'm nuts. Most definitely an underrated movie that I'm glad I got to see and own.
