The scene where Henry takes the wad of money from the drawer

What's with the scene where, before leaving the house on his own, Henry goes through some drawers and in one of them he finds a large wad of bank notes?

He sticks the money in his pocket and then goes out.

Subsequently in the movie, the money is not missed; no one searches for it and the subject is never mentioned. (We don't know who left the money there, or for what reason).

We don't even know what Henry eventually did with it.

Am I missing something?
