Quigley's rifle


Didn't this film really put Shiloh Sharps on the map? As I understand it, they provided the rifles.

I've been told (I don't own one) that one of the most accurate replicas on the market is the Pedersoli 1874 Quigley Sporting Rifle.

In the beginning of the movie it bugs me that he uses this precision rifle as a blunt instrument in the fight with the three local yahoos. Doesn't make much sense.

Have it on the DVR from this-TV.

That kind of bothered me, too. Looks like a real good way to knock the gun out of true.

I was annoyed by this as well. You don't bash a precision instrument around like that.




I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

The rifle was custom made for the movie. I believe only four were made. Tom Selleck kept two at the end of the shoot.
