shareI don't understand. This is has got to be the most underrated comedy of all time! It is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen yet it gets no credit and the only copies of it you can find are out of print VHS copies!!! It makes no sence. This is truly an anomoly!

shareI agree with those who say this is a very underrated movie. It was hysterical and I would own it in a heartbeat. What with all the junk that's been released on DVD, I don't understand why this one hasn't.

My only thought as to a rights issue is that it is based on a French film. Perhaps the studio no longer has the rights to release copies of the remake without renewing their agreement. Seems kind of silly as no one makes any money with no DVD, but those sort of arrangements can get very involved and complicated.

shareI recently stumbled across a listing for this movie on the tcmdb.com website. It turns out that they offer a place for you to vote for this movie to be released on dvd. If you read their F.A.Q. regarding the voting, they state that they send the information to major production and distribution companies. There is also a ranking at the bottom of the poll which ranks the movie against other films that have yet to be released on dvd. If you are interested in owning this film on dvd, I would suggest visiting the link below and voting for it to be released on dvd. You have to enter an email address, but it doesn't really matter if it's a real one. So vote as often as possible because the closer the ranking gets to #1, the better the chance will be of getting this movie released on dvd. Again here's another one agreeing with the rest of you. This film needs to be released on DVD. Martin Short is hilarious in it and Danny (Murtaugh) Glover does great as well. I guess we need to start a petition or something, I mean Universal probably has all their other titles released why not this one. Anyway just to talk about the movie for a second, I love how GLover makes Short's character feel like he's in charge at the beginning. ***1/2
-Actually now to think about it, maybe Anchor Bay can release it. They've come through on movies like The Pirate Movie and what not!!
