Why did his 'mom' want him to kill the girl

I was thinking maybe shes jealous because they had an incestile relationship so it would be like he is cheating on her.

It was because in Norman's mind, Mother was insanely jealous of him, just like he was of her.

His mother totally seduced him, though, and never followed through. She was teasing him, which totally confused Norman. Can you really blame an influential boy in his mid-teens for getting confused with the way she treated him?

"In Norman's mind they were having an incestuous relationship. Remember it was Norman speaking as mother when he ordered himself to kill that girl."
Yes I agree but I think why his mom personality wanted him to kill his girlfriend is because its like hes cheating on her, expecially since she calles his girlfriends whores and sluts and the like.

Remember the shrink at the end of part I? Norman was jealous of his mother, hence wanting to kill anyone she was involved with. Hence in his mind she was just as insanely jealous of anyone who he could be involved with.

more important: in the first murder scence about 10 mins in, why is 'mother's corpse blinking?! when norman checks on her before the slutty girl comes in, you can see the corpse blinking!

What the? That is so strange. Maybe the fireworks made it look like she was blinking.

reply

She was blinking because the camera was showing Mother from from Norman's POV. And to Norman, Mother is still alive. And then, of course, they show the reality POV which reveals the mother to be what she is: a rotten corpse.

reply

It was in his mind because the mother wanted him to be closer to her.

reply

Cuz she's an incest whore!!!
