It's not that the lighting is bad, rather the lighting continually the same and doesn't work. Somewhat distracting.

This is Greenaway's laziest film.

Hahaha. I think, then, that I'll take a "lazy" Greenaway over a workaholic James Cameroon (sic); or insert any other glorified hack auteur of choice.
