Interview with Kristy Jett on the Popcorn Retrospective Documentary

Hi there Popcorn nerds,

I have just done an interview with supreme horror nerd Kristy Jett on the upcomig Popcorn Retrospective Documentary that she is filming as well as the DVD release. You can check it out at my blog - http://morleysaurus.blogspot.com/2011/06/kristy-jett-super-dork-discus sing.html

So right now, it's nearly the year 2016, and still no sight of this "release."

Phew! A documentary? The OP meant postmortem, surely?

...it's just another dumb film, get over it.

The only apparent development is that the Kristy Jett documentary referenced in the OP will not be used by Synapse when/if they ever release Popcorn.

(jobla - I think it was you that turned me on to the Code Red DVD bigcartel site when I was looking for Beyond the Door. Thanks for that - as I'm in Canada can't order from him there anymore, but did manage to get Beyond the Door before he shut Canada down. Thanks again)

Yes, that was me.

POPCORN is one of the most bungled releases of all time. How many years has this been going on? First, there was the infamous Kristy Jett/Code Red war for this title. Then, Synapse got into the action, and they're another label that takes years to release certain titles.

Sounds like the people who "invested" in Kristy Jett via the crowdfunding campaign may be left holding the bag. Meanwhile, Synapse won't be able to use her "documentary."

Somebody should do a documentary called UNPOPPED POPCORN, in which Kristy Jett, the owner of Code Red, and the owner of Synapse, all get to tell their sides of the story. That would probably be more entertaining than the film POPCORN itself.

Ha! And would be released sooner.
