just saw it for th first time

really liked it, but reading through all these posts, I don't agree that it's a masterpiece, but don't agree with the one post that it belongs on lifetime or we. or comparing it to no country for old men. which I just happened to watch again the day before seeing this one. no country was better in my opinion.

this one was a bit predictable in that the moment the paxon character overhears the LA cops laughing at him, you just knew it was going to be an "I'll show them!" kinda thing. love the south in it, love the cinematography showing off the south. they should do more movies based in the south. it has a different kind of light. and billy bob, what can you say, every movie he is in, he makes it interesting, just his presence. hair, or no hair. also found it interesting that the pluto character dressed and looks like a sort of a nerd, but he's a killer. the gal is great looking which doesn't hurt. but, I don't know, just kinda tired of these cop killer crime drama super violent type movies. hollywood needs to make these, but I wish they'd make more movies that don't rely on guns and blood and violence. I have nothing against these movies per se, and even enjoy a lot of them, but I find it just sort of sad that they seem to rely on these types of movies, just seems a bit lazy if you ask me. it's too easy to make crime drama's with super evil people doing sick violent things to each other, and each one seems to try to top the last one in the manner of the violence, and the depiction of it has become so much the norm, it's just too much sometimes. overall though, liked the movie, I"d give it say 3.5 out of 5 stars.
