Saw this on comedy channel tonight. One question..

What the heck were "they" ?
I honestly loved how bizarre this was but I was very curious of the origins of the "things" in this.. like..wtf... ahah.. I thought coming in they would be vampires or immortals...I guess they were immortal or just really ugly ones from a nuclear blast.. hahah.. help?
