A testament to Alfred Molina's talent

Alfred is my favorite actor and has been for some time. This is the first thing I remember seeing him in. One thing I always wondered was: how difficult was it for him to do those scenes with Sally where he had to beat her up and toss her around? He's a big guy, and Sally is tiny, he probably had to be really careful not to actually hurt her. Yes, I know it's ACTING but he's a total sweetheart IRL, so it just makes me wonder if it was hard for him.

I've never seen him in anything but this. Did he quit acting?

He was the "Spanish" uber bad guy in Mel Gibson's Maverick, the Mayor in Chocolat, Diego Rivera in Frida and many, many more. I think of him like this generation's Anthony Quinn - Terrific actor and, because of his looks, he can play a lot of ethnic characters. He appears quite often on Craig Ferguson's Late Late Show and I love to hear his English posh accent.
