That acapella group singing 'Living for the City'.

Boy, can they sing! Beautiful voices! Anyone know if they're a real group or not?

Both groups singing in the movie were real groups, both around way before Boyz 2 Men. The ones singing Living for the City was a group named Troop. The other group that sang For the Love of Money was Levert.

I bought the cd soundtrack because of that acapella song! I hoped it would have been on the cd but it wasn't. Shame as it would have made for a good song!

Not to mention Keith Sweat singing at the funeral, Flava Flav as MC in the club, those cool mellow fellows from Harlem and masters of New Jack Swing: Teddy Riley and Guy, and a cameo of Nick Ashford as the Reverand.

Keith Sweat was singing at the wedding.

Gerald Levert's solo stuff was pretty damned good as well, may he rest in peace.

That era of rap, hip-hop & R&B was so good, I miss that time period. Early to mid 80's up until the mid 90's was my favorite. I love the New Jack City song by GUY, For the love of money by Queen Latifah & The Redhead One by Redhead Kingpin. I wish we had more groups like Troop and Levert.
