Was she really a teacher?

I was watching an episode of Snapped (on Oxygen) and about Pam Smart. According to that she wasn't really a teacher, she was a media center director or coordinator. It never said that she went to college become a teacher. Did they make her character a teacher in the movie to make it sound more glamorous?

I think I remember one of the characters saying she wasn't a "teacher"

No she wasn't a teacher, I went to Winnacunnet HS in Hampton, NH where it happened and she worked in the adminstrative office. All the guys loved her, she had the big bangs.

It was the media plus this movie that made it sound like she was a teacher.

In the recording made by Cecelia, Pam says "I teach"

"And then who [will they believe]? Me, with a professional reputation, and of course that I teach. You know, that's the thing. They are going to believe me."

She certainly thought of herself, or wanted people to think of her, as a teacher

I think it's funny when her parents use the "she was NEVER a teacher" as an example of the "lies" being spread by the media

Pamela said "I teach"

sounds like she wants us to see her as a teacher

In that moment, yes, Smart was blatantly lying to intimidate Cecilia and convince her that she (Pam) would be the one believed because she was a teacher (even though they both knew she wasn’t).

Otherwise, I don’t think Smart necessarily wanted everyone to think of her as a teacher but she was certainly going to go that route if it served her purposes.

Ok, ive not from America so what are bangs?
I am amusing you mean boobs :)
But ive heard people say they have bangs as in a fringe.

Bangs are the part of the hair that hang over the forehead separate from the rest of the hair. In the 80s and 90s, a lot of woman teased their bangs, as in they made that part of the hair as big as possible with hair spray and gel.

forgotten...and don't you forget it

reply

Yes, bangs = fringe

I'm watching this now. She says she works in the media department where students make videos and stuff using school equipment. At one point she talks to them about a contest to make a video about orange juice and she wants to make it as a music video. Her and the teen girls dress as cave girls while Billy films. She also takes some racy photos in the cave girl outfit and has Billy get them developed then asks if he looked at them.
