I'M SICK OF DISNEYLAND STEALING OUR RIDES!

OK, Disneyland fans (basically, everyone west of the Mississippi) I admit Disney World has a lot of your rides, but that's cuz walt Disney made a second resort here and he used his ideas! Even if you just took the rides, that'd be fine, but when you take the rides and RUIN them, I get pissed. Tower of Terror is freakin bright pink with a big black layering on the front. It doesn't even look like the charred materials spread outward, plus the horizonal movement is gone. You take it's tough to be a bug and take it outta tree and put it underground... the list goes on and on. Now, all that I can accept, BUT WEN U TAKE MUPPET VISION, I DRAW THE LINE! I know WDW took some of your rides, but you can hav em back! No one want's "Soarin'" ANYWAY!

can you please elaborate on some of your complaints plkease? im a HUGE disney WORLD fan (never been to D-Land) but i would llike to know what yur getting at here. what happned to "Tough to ba a bug"? and what did disneyland do to muppets?

reply

Yeah exactly what did they do to it in Disneyland? did they cut stuff out?

I ask because it was one of my favorite attractions at disney mgm studios
(along with The Twilight Zone Tower Of Terror.)

reply

I have been to Disney land and Disney World in recent years and there are no major changes in the rides themselves. Although, as the first post stated the appearance of muppet vision 3d i much better at MGM than California disney. At MGM the movie is located in an old theater looking building on a city street which holds more true to the orginial show. The one in California is in an rather plain looking building with a statue of Kermit poking out of the roof. Also at MGM they have much more Muppet decoration stuff throughout the park and they also play Muppet songs in the area around the ride. They didn't make such a big deal about the ride at disneyland.

reply

thats not true. At CA adventure the muppet songs are constantly being played in the area.

Disneyworld stole the ideas for

Splash Mountain
Soarin' Over California
Star Tours
Big Thunder Mountain

reply

Umm, they cannot keep Soarin'. It's one of the best rides in Disney :-)

Also we can say Disneyworld have a rip off of the Matterhorn Bobsleds in Expedition Everest.

Too bad the entire idea of WDW is a rip off of Disneyland. Disney died 5 years before the park even opened. All he really did was choose the land.

Florida has been wishing it were California since 1850.

This is really the dumbest series of posts that I've ever read. They're owned by the same company...a little company called Disney. I know this because its in the name of each of the parks; ex. DISNEYwold and DISNEYland

What you people are saying is as dumb as saying "The McDonalds in this town totally ripped off the Big Mac from the McDonalds in the other town"

I understand the complaints that Disneyworld didn't do some of the rides as well as Disneyland, those complaints make sense (although I've never been to Disneyland, so I wouldn't know)

Amen. I'm astonished at the stupidity of these posts. It's Disney Parks. It's all under the same umbrella. Get real, idiots. Did you not see the word DISNEY in both parks, yellowcornball? Guess what, Disney World stole Disneyland's mouse!

Darwin lied.

Some things are better at DL and some things are better at WDW.

Pirates is by far better than its Florida counterpart. Florida's version is a condensed version of the DL version. That being said, Florida's exterior to the ride holds more true with the idea of Pirates of the Caribbean with its Spanish architecture and cannons.

The Haunted Mansion was once better than the Florida version, however, after the 07 update, Florida's version beats the pants off of Disneyland's version. The MS Escher-esque room with the phantom footsteps is AMAZING. However, before the update, Florida's version was in desperate need of an overhaul. Luckily, it got it.

Space Mountain is better at Disneyland, but that's because it's been updated with new track, new soundtrack, new effects and roomier car. They're closing the one in Florida for an update, but I doubt it will be as expansive as the one at DL.

And Splash Mountain is better at Disney World. At least from what I've been told by most everyone who has been on both versions. I didn't make it on Splash during my trip weekend before last.

If it makes the OP feel any better, California Adventure's Tower of Terror is inferior to Disney-Hollywood's. The trip into the 5th dimension is completely missing from the CA version.

Whatever. The OP is nuts. It's all Disney. Get a grip.

Troll.

P.S. And yes we want Soarin'. It's an awesome ride, loser.

Hey, you should think of people who for one reason or another can't get all the way to Flordia. They should have the chance to experience the rides also. Plus Disney wants to make they rides different at each park. Sometimes it is good to changes things up. If they were all the same then I would get pretty boring and you wouldn't want to go experience the other parks because the rides would be all the same. Soarin is cool. It was a hit at California Adventure so that is why they put it at Disneyworld. It is one of the best rides at California Adventure.
