A Mother's Justice

From watching this movie and reviewing Debbie's story, I have to say she's really lucky to be alive. I also think she underestimated her own power. Debbie said she didn't think she could take care of herself. Remember, even if you're scared out of your wits, you're stronger than you think you are. My advice would be to try and fight her assailant off and disarm him when he grabbed her holding a gun to her head and then try to run just in case he rearmed himself but don't run away in a straight line. A running target has only a 4% chance of getting shot. You can reduce those odds even more by running in a zigzag pattern. But if you do get raped, find the courage to take the risk and fight your assailant off and disarm him and find a chance to escape by yelling phrases such as "get away" and "help" to draw attention to the situation, targeting your assailant's eyes and taking 2 fingers and thrusting them into one of your assailant's eyes and/or dropping to the ground and kicking and then report the incident to the police immediately like Debbie did. Approximately, 30% of rapes go unreported. This encourages rapists to think they can get away with it. They key here is to never give up.
