GLENNE HEADLEY OWNS THIS MOVIE

Such a great actress- why has she not been in more? Moore is perfectly fine, but if she didn't own the rights to the film, there would be a lot of other actresses who would've been perfect for the role. Even Keitel, who is very good, is not as good as Headley. That 's the thing- you realize the weakness of the acting elsewhere because she's so out of their league. The woman who played the other detective stuck out for being so not good in her role. But I watch this every time it's on- it's not a great movie because it's not well- paced, but I watch it for Headley's amazing turn in this. The supporting cast is really good. Part of the problem with the story is why would Joyce ever marry him and why would she put up with the worst husband on the planet? No real explanation.

I couldn't agree more(but i also found Bruce Willis' simply dispicable turn as Joyce's husband very watchable). She's a beautiful woman anyway, and I've never seen her better than this.

You've got it. She is so good, I'm also a big fan of Keitel & Willis. Pankow also.

Yeah, lot of interesting actors in this one. And Headley was definitely a powerful presence, almost a force of nature; made it look effortless, too.

GH was fabulous, but I thought all the main characters gave great performances. Demi and Bruce were outstanding also. This movie is very under rated.

I had recently saw her interviewed and can't believe the difference in her real life persona and Joyce's. So, this leads me to believe she is an excellent actress.

Swing away, Merrill....Merrill, swing away...

Maybe. I'm quite sure it's the best acting I've seen by Demi Moore though, despite a couple of more volatile moments where she comes off kind of artificial.
