christian slater is awful in this.
every scene he has a dumbass sneer on his face, raising one eyebrow. his accent is ridiculous. what a joke.

He wasn't awful in it, but very miscast.

I thought the same. Definitely miscast but now wondering if he's ever been great in a movie roles. Prove me wrong though! I just can't think of any parts he's played.
Oh yeah, there's Pump of The Volume and I loved Heathers.
He was great in Kuffs and True Romance, his personality and charm fit those films very well. He was pretty good as the older brother in The Wizard too.
I personally like Christian Slater, but he really only has one particular type of character.
I never seen such a nonethnic actor in these type of roles. It's distracting.
