This is one of the few films out there that explore African American-Asian Indian relationships--I'm African American and Hindu....it hits home!

Yeah this is a good movie. There have been a few other movies in England that discuss relations between Black and Indian communities (small production ones).Mira Nair generally does good work, and Denzel, as always, was super awesome. He's like the next generation Sidney Poitier, that guy!

I agree! I love east is east and a lot of the obscure films from uk like Love + hate....

Had you seen the movie Bhaji At the Beach? One of the characters was pregnant with a Black man.

People who liked Bhaji at the Beach will enjoy this even more.

But the OP is right. Films like this are few and far between.
