Somebody explain Anil's 'problem'?
Why would his wife be so "frigid" immediately following their wedding? We see a few scenes where his advances are shunned and his frustration is apparent. Am I missing something here...

Love in these situations grows through occupational interaction or the couple feels comfortable with one another and have known each other since children. They usually know one another at least.
That's how it tends to actually work out. But I think the movie's goal in including these scenes was to set up the contrast I mentioned before.

That indeed seems to be the meaning of those scenes in the film. I was watching the film and felt annoyed watching these scenes because I felt it added nothing to the actual story, apart from the fact that Anil not "getting some" partly leads him to take the decision with regard to not working anymore with Jammubhai/Jay in a state of frustration. share
