New release date dvd 2035

There's some pretty cool stuff. There's a scene that features a really good performance by Gary Sinise where they are all in boot camp and he attacks their drill instructor after he says a degrading comment about his wife, there's an alternate opening and an alternate ending, the alternate opening being mostly the same thing as the one on the film only with a brief little nod to Stanley Kubrick's 2001, and the alternate ending being also roughly the same thing as the one on the movie only the screams of Gary Sinise at the beginning are heard in Ethan Hawk's head followed by an actual reading of the word scroll at the end in the regular release and it's just generally a much creepier note to end the film on. There's some other good stuff too, particularly one in which Ethan Hawk and Frank Whaley have a brief argument over religious teaching and what sin is, and other stuff like that. It's pretty cool stuff I think. I'm lucky that I found the DVD so cheap. It's such a difficult film to find these days.
