Remastered widescreen blu-ray and DVD now on Amazon UK for pre-order!

So, finally... The region 2 blu-ray and DVD are available for pre-order on Amazon.UK.

They'll be out in April.

I've seen the blu-ray and I'm very happy.

It has a choice of the old dolby stereo mix or the new 5.1.

The special features have the same deleted scenes and commentary as before, but I also did a new 45 minute interview for the 20th anniversary of the film.

I'm still working on a US release, but given the fact there are lawyers and corporations involved, I wouldn't wait if you have a region free player.

Nice one Keith! Will buy the blu-ray for sure.

It's good to hear ther'll be extras, especially a commentary. I'm looking forward to seeing it in HD and Widescreen, because it's a beautiful looking film.

Good luck getting it out in the U.S. I Hope sales of the UK release are great. Is there a trailer for it's re-release?

Do you know if the Blu-ray will be Region-Free or Region-B locked? Do you have it on hand with the ability to check? I'm in the US and will gladly import it if it's Region-Free. Great movie Keith!!

I emailed second sight films about the Region coding and extras and they say it'll be Regin B.

I just checked it in my Region A locked player and can confirm it is a Region B locked disc.

If you have a BD player in your computer I believe it's a simple matter of downloading free software to play your disks region free. Regardless, I'm going to order it and figure out how to play it when it gets here.

What makes a US release so difficult? This is very irritating. So many new and obscure films are released on DVD and Blu-ray each week. It's a travesty that such a fine film cannot see a quality release in these United States.

reply

Especially since it's an american film.

All we get is basically standard cropped pan and scan crap while the rest of the world gets high definition.

Eh.

I'm on the road less traveled...
