I just received it today.

Giving it a quick check, the picture is very nice. Film grain is present, so it hasn't been over DNR'ed or whatever the process is called, so there's plenty of detail you won't have seen before. I checked it first in my Region A locked player, and can confirm that it is a Region B Locked disc.

It is a region B disc, but it can be easily played in any player by simply pressing the "Pop-Up Menu" button on your remote when the wrong region screen comes up. I'm in the US and was planning on playing it on my computer but then I discovered this method. The extras are in PAL so they won't play unless your player/TV allows it, but the movie itself plays perfectly. The extras will also play fine on a computer if you have the right software (PowerDVD.)

I can confirm this. I tried it on my Sony player and it worked when I pressed the "top menu" button. Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately this trick did not work on my region B copy of Runaway Train!
