Warren Beatty

Unbeleivable how the great lady-killer was so p-whipped by Madonna. It was obvious that he was very uncomfortable in that environment but he endured it to sleep with Madonna. It was like she had him on a string, like a puppet. It's understandable that he would want Madonna but disappointing to see my boyhood idol (I wanted to be Warren Beatty after seeing Bonnie and Clyde in 1968 at age 12, and also reading about his conquests in movie magazines) being led around by the nose by a woman.

Led around on a string by Madonna? Obviously you've never read a biography on his life. He's had so many women in his life, one might say he was the next Hugh Hefner. Beatty has never had any problems in the romantic department. So Beatty being strung along by a woman? PLEASE! Look at some of the women in his history: Leslie Caron, Julie Christie, Joan Collins, Diane Keaton, Mary Tyler Moore, Vivien Leigh, Goldie Hawn, Natalie Wood, Jane Fonda, Faye Dunaway, Isabelle Adjani, Barbara Streisand, Janice Dickinson, Cher, Madonna, Britt Ekland, and Annette Bening to name a few.

For the past 70 years Warren Beatty was known as the 'great seducer' who never was led around by a woman before he met his wife Annette Bening, and now he loves being a father and a family man for the nearly 16 years he has been married. Now when he says his famous pickup line, "What's new pussycat?", he is usually talking to one of his daughters Kathlyn(16), Isabel(11), and Ella(8). He and Bening also have a son Benjamin (14).

I am aware of Warren's list of conquests but that has nothing to do with what I'm saying. Madonna had him on a string at this particular time. It was obvious in the movie. If she told him to jump he would ask how high. Now, Madonna was about the sexiest woman alive at the time so who can blame my boy? He was visibly uncomfortable around her entourage, the phony, fake plastic hangers on, the flaming homosexuals who were her dancers, etc. But a small price to pay to get Madonna between the sheets.

Vivien Leigh? Isn't she like twice his age?

I doubt he had any problem with the gay dancers or the "scene" being portrayed in the movie. He is known to be a huge liberal and I can't see such a person being uncomfortable in those types of situations.

What he had a problem with was probably more lack of privacy and as someone said, it was scripted anyway. He probably thought the entire thing was nuts but just went with it.

Lead me not into temptation...Who am I kidding? Follow me, I know a shortcut!

Beatty had no probs with the gay dancers or anything else. The only thing that's fake about this "doco" is Madge herself. All the scenes were as good as scripted, she is the ultimate control freak and would never let anyone film "behind the scenes" stuff of her. Beatty just thought the whole thing was insane, but went along with it because he was dating her and it was good publicity for "Dick Tracy".

Desperanto spoken here...
