The Gay Pride Parade

"We're here, we're queer, get used to it." I love that. LOL.

THANK YOU!!!

I am not the type to say anything because people jump on you immediately calling you a hater and a gay-basher and all that.

But, what if you're gay yourself? I'm gay. I HATE gay pride parades. I hate people who participate in them. They are incredibly ridiculous! And so is the LOGO TV network. And most everything gay-themed, like Brokeback Mountain.

I'm over it.
If I could convert to heterosexuality, I SO WOULD.

LOL. Well, I think in a way it helps bring it to the forefront. Helps with self esteem I would have thought. It's like a civil rights parade.

I've been to many of them.

I STILL think self-esteem should be found within oneself.
But that depiction of the gay pride parade was horrendous!

Have you always been a self-loathing gay man? I'm gay too and I've been to one or two pride events in my life. They're kind of boring and out there but to absolutely despise them? That says more about you than it does them. Who cares what they're doing? If you're not into it, you don't have to be there.

Lead me not into temptation...Who am I kidding? Follow me, I know a shortcut!

Everyone is entitled to their own thing but to call a Gay Pride event ridiculous in 1990 is just a joke. You completely miss the point of them as they stand up for you and everyone else that has to face oppression and discrimination for who they are. Yes some are total queens but why on EARTH should any of them hide away and feel ashamed to please you? Do you really think women would have won the right to vote if they just sat on their ass and didn't take a stand? There's nothing ridiculous about taking a stand and being proud of who you are. Last I checked people haven't been murdered/humiliated/oppressed for being a white straight male.

I don't attend Gay Pride events myself but your attitude is appalling.
