Gary?

My question has always been, why did Gary want to marry Diane? She "loved" him without the potion, so what was his motivation? This may have been addressed in previous threads, but I do t have that kinda patience. Anyone have any ideas?

Probably a control thing. Now it's perfect because he can control her with no push back. But I get what you're saying-- he could have the same results with anyone so why her? Maybe because he did have some sort of personal connection so he preferred her over a stranger.

his motivation was him not wanting to lose access to his free lay.

idk if she loved him. I mean, what woman, homely or not, would be against 'free sex'?

I am watching this for the first time right now and the part with him calling her in the middle of the night for sex just passed. I

and it is not about really love, but also about respect. Paul is such a sweet guy, can't believe the 'LT. Reginald Barkley' hairstyle but whatever... I felt SOOOOOOO badly for him with the first meeting of Cheryl.

Oh God. Fortune vomits on my eiderdown once more.
