I agree with you, it's got classic characters and a lot of whimsical fun. Even the homeless dance sequence is okay because ... well ... it's a Mel Brooks film and there's always a singing/dance sequence.

The scene where Billy Barty pretends his legs were run over is FUNNY.

Me too. It is underrated and I have the feeling that the reason it didn't do well here was the fact that our country is too chicken to look at the fact that we have a homeless problem we ain't solving. Know why? Can't make money off of it. Find a solution where the greedy Wall St. swine can steal money in the process, the streets would clear up in a snap.
