What if someone bet you?

What if someone bet you like in the movie, could you survive on the streets for 30 days? For me I would go insane just like any bum living on the street. I cam't imagine myself being homeless but its one of the major issue around the world and it really sucks.

How much money we talkin about here?

Well how much would you ask for to survive 30 days on the streets? Shoot for a billion dollars, I'll take it!

I don't think I could do it myself. And it is sad we have so many homeless in this country that nobody is trying to help. I'd love to see any Bush family member bring food to the homeless-they should interrupt regular programming for that in a heartbeat!!!!!

Nobody, really? The tens of millons of dollars, the thousands of people who donate hundreds of hours each year to help homeless people count as "nobody"?

O ye of little clue. I was homeless for a few months when I lived in San Francisco. Fortunately being a teenager with a Mom that was also homeless got us free rides in shelters. Though because we had to check in everyday, and my brother, sister, and I were in school, and my Mom had a job, it became hit or miss with checking into the shelter. Our backups were either draining the savings to sleep in hotels, or bumming the living room carpets of people my Mom knew. Thankfully my Mom's job prevented us from ever having to live on the streets. People on the streets, the ones you know are bums, the ones with the worn out clothing and the shopping carts, they gave up. I wish them no ill will, but they certainly haven't been denied opportunities to get out. There's always a way out. Unless of course they are mentally or phsyically unable, and that is why I applaud the many not nobodies who go out of their way to not just hand a scamming bum $5 but actually put time in the shelters and get people into care facilities. Some want to be homeless, some try hard to stop being homeless, and some don't have a choice, but not many get "ignored". Our system isn't perfect. But it is improving.

It's "must have", "should have", "could have", and "would have". For God's sake there's no "of".

Yeah, there are people who volunteer, but sometimes it isn't enough. In the film, why was the mission even allowed to be locked? Does this mean that they only operate during business hours? Yeah, I know Crasswell arranged it, but in real life, couldn't someone be a Judge Joe Brown and say, "I don't care who you are, this mission is open 24 hours and we ain't closing."
