Plot Holes

1991: The director of the cryogenic facility opens those double doors & gets knocked down by a flood of water, which crashes him into shelves, whose contents collapse on him. What happens to him? Did he get knocked out, eventually, drown?

Reasons I ask: did he ever notice that two of the "subjects" have escaped? How about finding his car missing? You'd think he'd report the theft, at least!
