Spirituality

I watched this movie recently after getting back from a trip to L.A. I'd never been there before. The spirituality of the film was striking; I was expecting a great comedy (which it is), but I was not expecting to be as moved by it as I was. The ethereal beauty of L.A. Story almost brought me to tears.

Did anyone else feel this way?

I thought of this as being primarily satirical. Maybe it did have spirituality. This would certainly explain Enya's beautiful voice being a part of the film.

I've never come any where close to tears while watching the movie, but I agree it is incredibly beautiful in so many ways.
The walk through the garden as children, the performance art at the gallery, the graveyard, Harris quoting Shakespeare while waiting in the car for Trudi, Amazing Grace....
Most of the very best moments would probably seem ridiculously surreal if viewed out of context, but within the movie, all taken together they become magical.
