Well.... that was depressing.
The music: depressing. However, Jan Hammer did an awesome job on 'Miami Vice'. What was wrong with the series tune?
The dead of Devon Miles: depressing. Why kill of a nice lead character?
The devestation of KITT: why tear up the iconic car? Why?!? It's like seeing the A-Team drive a VW Transporter. KITT was iconic and always will be.
The cancellation of the KNIGHT Foundation. Again, why? The black truck with the chesspiece on the was fantastic to watch.
Overall storyline: depressing! It lacked a good storyline, it lacked action, it had nothing what the tv-series made cult. Sure, mr. Doohan's cameo was funny to watch, but that's about it.
KNIGHT4000: i would have bought it, if from here a new series would have been made with that car. Just showing off a (prototype for a) new model is like watching Transformers, the first movie from Michael Bay. People don't want commercial crap put into the screen for financing reasons. If you can't finance the movie without product placement, then don't make it!
Overall, i gave it 2/10. The original series i gave 8/10, which is very high for the norms i use myself. TKR, i gave 6/10 and KR2008 i also gave 8/10. They keep cancelling or killing every spin-off and i won't hold my breath for the 2012 planned movie.
KITT and Michael Knight are iconic. Cult. Just like the A-Team. Keep that intact and don't try to change their status (i.e. think you can make something better).
