the bel air that thay put K.I.T.T into was kinda cool it wood of ben cooler if thay put him in like a plymouth hemi bara cuda or a super bird or charger but o well it still wa pretty cool i hate the KNIGHT 4000 it sucks thay shoud of just bought a another 1986 i think the odle year was not a 100 persent shere but eny ways get the same year of car and putt K.I.T.T in there and stuff that wood fo ben cooler and why did thay have to kill deven that sucked idk i gess i woodent minde getting it on dvd to c it agen if it is on dvd or is comeing out please let me know

How about a '58 Plymouth Fury? Nah...cheap shot.
The Chevy was pretty cool and I'm glad they used it, you rarely see one of those being flogged with such reckless abandon.
A DVD of this movie is included with the first season DVD set.

Same here, I like seeing a Bel Air put through its paces and I now know that even if they are metal smashing into a flimsy Berettas will still cause damage. Anyone notice the amount of Chevys in this?

The KNIGHT 4000 was actually the sole prototype of the 1990 Pontiac Fiero.

really?? I thought it was the concept version of the Plymouth/Dodge Stealth...at least that's what my dad told me when it first aired.

KIFT was made out of a Dodge but he was a replica of a Pontiac concept car which oddly enough stronly resembled the later Trans-Ams that we saw before the bland Aussie GTO.

KITT was built from a FWD Dodge Stealth.Almost all the additional bodywork was formed in fiberglass.The car looked very much like the Pontiac Banshee show car.

wow, you was wildly misinformed. Paul-308 is correct that it's just a Dodge Stealth (stock production car at that). The producers did try to get the Banshee, but negotiations with Pontiac were unsuccessful.

Pontiac's reason for not using the Banshee was they didn't want to reveal their next generation of Firebird early, which was based on the Banshee.
