If this was the year 2000 why did they not look older?

for example Micheal AKA David in reality is in his 60's in the year 2000's not 45-50 if Edward Milhare lived this long he should have been in his 80's with a cane. KITT is something else since he is a machine they never said like a time line what happened all those years between 1986 to 1990 and also it was a good movie but like i said the time line for the ages is off.

Well, the film was made in 1991, so obviously the actors were younger. David has since used his character's face replacement in the show's first episode, to explain his still-youthful appearance in the movie. As for Edward, you might have a better point, though he didn't pass away until six years after the film. His last role was a guest spot on Hasselhoff's show "Baywatch Nights".
