Or 2 and a half. That's what I seem to remember but now it shows only 97 minutes. That's what I remember watching in the theater. Either I am thinking of a different movie or they cut tons of minutes out of it. I thought it was odd that a simple comedy like this would be that long. Who has the DVD?

I think you must be mixing it up because comedies are invariably around the 90 minute mark since they usually deal primarily with the comedy and less with the drama and character development. Three hours is a long time to keep the gags going.
