I posted a review about a year ago but the lack of boards on this movie disturbs me! The first time I watched it I knew I had found a movie that would always remind me of my pubescent time. If you're between 30-40 you will love this movie!

Rob Zombie is one of the greatest directors today
You can never measure your memories, specially if you lived life fully in popular culture and magic of 80’s. Such first impressions would (for most of folks) remained intact. I can’t say that Kid (1990) is exemplary selection I would attribute with "80’s gen|" label, but I don’t mind if you do.
Although both by mood, visuals and partly relaxed sense that was so evident in 80’s, many movies, even deep in early 90’s, still had a glimpse of that feeling.
The score of Kid reminds little of "Dudes 1987" although Bernstain’s signature is different, more atmospheric, rather then thematic, which is somewhat similar with Kid score :
