This movie ROCKS!!!

This movie is absolutely incredible. It was based on an amazing true story and the film makers really did it justice. I also appreciate the fact that the film makers didn't take liberty with the rules and guidelines of climbing; unlike another climbing movie, Verical Limit, which was awful.

Inaccuracies aside, K2 did not completely ignore some of the rules like Vertical Limit. I watched Vertical Limit only for the excellent performances. I will readily admit that I am not a climber, so I must defer to your knowledge; but if a non-climber can find inaccuracies, then someone of your knowledge must be insulted. This begs the question, can a climbing movie like VL be just entertainment?

K2 is at least realistic. In vertical Limit the climbers don't even obviously breath, as there comes no steam out of their mouths. What an oddity...

Yes it is very good! Another great movie that didn't get enough recognition. Michael Beihn is awesome.

I really enjoyed this movie. The two lead actors did a fantastic job imo. And there relationship was developed very well

You can enjoy a bad movie. This movies doesnt "rock" it has gaping realism holes and portrays climbers as egocentric protagonists which is far from the case in my experience. Nearly all the climbers i have met and climbed with are considerate and brave people who would do anything they could to help. If they had made this more real then i would have been more enjoyable - the real stories are so much better than the fabricated, even if they contain half truthes.

if the climbers wer'nt portrayed as egocentric protagonists you wouldn't have a movie, its called entertainment.

Exactly. And besides, only Taylor was portrayed that way and in a sense the millionaire, Claiborne, who was the least 'true climber' amongst them. The others weren't portrayed that way at all. That Dallas comes over a bit rotten now and then is only in his reactions to Taylor, whom he clearly doesn't like (which is actually understandable )
