I have never seen this film but just reading the plot made me think of an Only Fools and Horses Christmas Special from 1991, namely Miami Twice. Is this film like that special? Because it appears one f the writers copied the idea from the other. But which way round?

shareThis film was released in October of 1991 and you speak of a TV special of December 1991. I guess Mr. Begnini, besides being an award winning writer/director/actor, is also a time traveler.
