The silence before the shots.

During the courtroom scene, Jim Garrison is describing the moment before the assassination. We see the teams of assassins in place ready to hit their target ie President Kennedy. I remember the cinema going absolutely quiet just before the shots are fired, you could have heard a pin drop! It was eerie. I saw this film in 1992 at the cinema, and still recall the silence.

The only other time I have experienced this was the whipping scene of Jesus in The Passion of Christ.
