Thanks. I think government secrecy has been toxic to democracy.
Not that we have ever had real democracy, but it is a force that pushes
in the opposite direction. How can there be democracy or a republic/
representative democracy ... how can be evaluate what our country is
and where we need to go when they do not know what is going on
and what are the real priorities of the governing oligarchical elites?
