Give credit to Hollywood for chancing interracial romance

I give Hollywood some credit for taking a chance on an interracial relationship, something that is still rare in the film industry today.
Of course this movie features two attractive people, beautiful Bridget Fonda (at the time), and a tall, handsome, Japanese actor who was not Japanese-American but from Japan. Unfortunately, the relatiionship did not survive. It appears the gulf between the two people, lifestyle, life plans, cultural, and more, were too wide to bridge.
