Silent Hill

Just a little trivia but The Indian Runner is a bar in the video game Silent Hill that is connected with a drug ring. You also fish a pack of drugs from a motorcycle tank.

There have been a lot of movies stated as influencing Team Silent when they worked on the games so this could possibly be an inspiration for the side quest in the game. I don't have confirmation of it but it seems likely.

Silent Hill are the cream of computer games, they put a lot of talent and effort in concepts and stories. Which of the games was it?

It's in the very first game. When heading for the lighthouse if you look at your map, to the right there's a bar or store called The Indian Runner. If you enter it you'll get some more clues about the drug ring and a key which you then have to take to Jack's Motel (I think that's the name, anyways, the only motel in SH) and you can do some stuff there.

In fact, you have to do the side quest to get the good+ ending.

There's also some metaphors in The Indian Runner that I noticed in the first game besides the store. The constant chase of David Morse of his brother (Viggo Mortensen) especially blind through the corn field... similar to Harry chasing Cheryl, and also I found it interesting that Viggo worked welding on an iron bridge similar to the catwalks in the alter world of Silent Hill.
