Just noticed one of many references to the original House Party...

Today I just noticed the inclusion of the character Groove. In House Party, he is known as the drunk that passed out. However in House Party 2, we see Groove posted up at the Pajama Jammy Jam with the thugs. At one point, one of the thugs offer him a drink and he refuses it and begins preaching as if he had become a member of the Nation of Islam. After all these years wondering why this character was in the scene and it hit me. It's a cool reference and had me laughing.

and my favorite...yo play i think somethings wrong with your toilet...deja vu like a *beep*

Also for a brief moment Groove's partner Chill knock the DJ table and Bilal goes "yo chill ahhh!" and chill runs off lol.

It's so bitter sweet seeing Chill in House Party 1 & 2. Dancing, running, helping to drag a drunk fool home.

The actor Daryl Mitchell has been in a wheelchair since 2001. So happy his career didn't end after he got hurt in a car accident. Lucky for us he's on TV playing a technology nerd on NCIS: New Orleans.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.

JonTMarin816: I think the joke was that the character turned his life around after the events of the original film.
